Boys and Girls Invited to Participate in Annual Knights of Columbus Free Throw Competition Jan. 26

K of C News:

All boys and girls ages 10 to 14 are invited to participate in the local level of competition for the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship. The local competition is 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26 at Los Alamos High School’s Griffith Gymnasium.

Registration is free of charge and will be held onsite beginning at 12:30 p.m. on the date of the event. Parental consent is required, so a parent/guardian must be present during registration. All contestants on the local level are recognized for their participation and winners from each age division and gender will be presented with a trophy.

The Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship is sponsored annually, with winners progressing through local, district, and state competitions. International champions are announced by the K of C headquarters based on scores from the state-level competitions. All boys and girls will compete in their respective age and gender divisions. Since its beginning in 1972,  more than 2.5 million youth have participated in the contest.
