PEEC News:

Noted botanist Jack Carter gave a workshop Saturday morning at the Pajarito Environmental Education Center (PEEC) on tree and shrub identification using the latest edition of his book, Trees and Shrubs of New Mexico (Mimbres Publishing, 2012.)

Nearly 20 people from Los Alamos, Santa Fe and Taos participated, learning new botanical words and gaining confidence in their identification of New Mexico flora, including roseberry juniper, big joint-fir, desert willow, hackberry and soapberry.
