COMMUNITY News:

The community is invited to stop by between 5:30-7 p.m. today at Warm Hearts Yarn, 35 Rover Blvd, Suite D, for great food and a book-signing for a newly released cookbook co-authored by local Health Coach Lisa Bakosi.

Balance for Busy Moms – Cook Your Way to Health is a newly released cookbook that serves to enhance quality of life through the use of healthy food preparation and practices. Bakosi is a Los Alamos native and a local health consulting company, Hygea Health & Nutrition, LLC.

“Our collective mission was to provide a healing resource for moms to improve their own and their families’ eating habits, relationships with food, and cooking practices for vibrant health and energy,” Bakosi said.

This book is not just theoretical discourse but contains nore than 60 amazing recipes that are easy for busy moms to prepare. Some are delicious raw dishes, some are vegan or vegetarian, some contain organic meats. This cookbook provides a fabulous variety of recipes designed to enhance health for a better life.

“This book was developed to help build confidence in the kitchen, as we learn to incorporate healthy food into our diet and adopt mindful eating practices. The book contains dozens of keys and secrets for success, and appropriate steps to transform negative eating habits into positive habits for a healthy and well-balanced body. As you improve your own health and energy, you have even more to give to your family. It’s a win-win,” Bakosi said.

Bakosi is a local health and lifestyle coach, speaker and owner of Hygea Health & Nutrition, LLC specializing in Workplace Wellness programs. She works with her clients to look good and feel great with simple and sustainable diet and lifestyle solutions.

Her approach is unique because she incorporates the “critical missing piece” for complete health. Diet and exercise are essential components but you rarely hear about how chemical toxins in everyday foods and products are making us fat, sick, and affecting our hormones.

Bakosi holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Denver, an MS degree in Communication from Colorado State University, and a health coach certificate from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Learn more about her unique approach to health by visiting www.hygealiving.com.

The cookbook is available for purchase at Los Alamos Co-op, www.hygealiving.com, and at the Book Signing Event. Learn more about the book and co-authors by visiting: www.balanceforbusymomscookbook.com
