The North Central Regional Transit District (RTD) Blue Bus 255 Mountain Trail route from downtown Santa Fe to Ski Santa Fe begins operating on its winter service schedule Saturday, Jan. 15.
During the winter season, the 255 Mountain Trail provides seven roundtrips on the weekends and three roundtrips Monday through Friday. The Mountain Trail provides service through downtown Santa Fe up Hyde Park Road to trailheads in the Santa Fe National Forest and Hyde State Park, concluding at Ski Santa Fe where riders can be dropped off steps from the ticket window and lifts.
The route is now permanently fare-free in the non-winter and winter seasons.
During the winter season, uphill riders receive a $5 discount token to be used for anything at Ski Santa Fe excluding alcohol.
