Co+op News:
The 4th Annual Bike & Gear Swap, a fundraiser for the Los Alamos Tuff Riders, is 7:30-11:30 a.m., June 6 at the Los Alamos Co+op Market.
The Bike & Gear Swap is a great opportunity to sell items you no longer use and buy equipment to enjoy the summer. While spring cleaning, set aside bikes and outdoor gear you no longer use. What would you like to have instead? You may find it at your local Bike & Gear Swap.
If you want to sell items, drop off equipment at the Co+op 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Thursday, June 4 or Friday, June 5. Ask for the outreach coordinator, Sandra West, at the customer service desk. Allow time to fill out tickets and attach them to your items. The Co+op will store all drop-off equipment in secure storage.
Sellers receive 85 percent of the ticket price for all items sold, and 15 percent of the proceeds go to Tuff Riders. The Co+op will pay sellers starting at 1:30 p.m., following the Bike & Gear Swap. Sellers will receive payments as cash for amounts under $100 and checks for amounts exceeding $100. Sellers who do not pick up their proceeds by 9 p.m. Saturday, June 6 will obtain a check via mail if an address is provided. Pick up any unsold items noon to 9 p.m. following the Bike Swap. Any items not picked up by 9 p.m. will be donated to a non-profit.
