Bike and Gear Swap Saturday

LASA News:

With summer just around the corner, the Bike and Gear Swap, a fundraising event for the Los Alamos Singletrack Association (LASA), is a great opportunity to sell items you no longer use, and buy equipment to help you enjoy the summer.

The Bike Swap will start promptly at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 1 at the Co-op and end at noon sharp. Mark Whitcomb will provide free bike safety checks during the Bike Swap.

If you want to sell items, drop off equipment at the Co-op Thursday or Friday between noon and 8 p.m. or Saturday from 7-7:30 a.m. Items will not be accepted after 7:30 a.m. Ask for the general manager at the customer service desk. Allow time to fill out tickets and attach them to your items. The Co-op will store all drop-off equipment in secure storage.

Sellers receive 85 percent of the ticket price for all items sold, and 15 percent of the proceeds go to LASA. The Co-op will pay sellers starting at 1 p.m., following the Bike Swap. Sellers will receive payments as cash for amounts under $100 and checks for amounts exceeding $100. Sellers who do not pick up their proceeds by 9 p.m. on Saturday will obtain a check via mail if an address is provided. Pick up any unsold items between noon and 9 p.m. immediately following the Bike Swap. Any items not picked up by 9 p.m. will be donated to a non-profit of our choice.

The Los Alamos Co-op is at 95 Entrada Dr., next to the Holiday Inn Express.
