ALBUQUERQUE — Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience announces Beyond Yoga, a weekly three-dimensional yoga experience. Classes will take place in the tranquil setting of the Immersive Room set to a beautifully mastered symphonic musical score.
Van Gogh’s art is liberated from its two-dimensional limitations and invites guests into a three-dimensional experience that exhilarates every sense. To date, the exhibit has sold more than 2.5 million tickets globally making it one of the most popular current traveling exhibitions.
“The Immersive Room is perfect for yoga classes because of it’s incredibly calming and peaceful effect on guests,” said David Rosenfeld, co-founder of Primo Entertainment.
Beyond Yoga classes begins Thursday, March 17 and will be held every Thursday and Saturday through the end of the exhibit’s Albuquerque run. They will be hosted by instructors from Albuquerque and Rio Rancho-based studios including Vivify, Blissful Spirits Hot Yoga, Traverses Yoga, and Unwind Yoga. Each studio offers a different style of yoga including hot yoga, restorative yoga, yin yang yoga, and even Pilates. Doors open at 8 a.m. and classes begin at 8:30 a.m. Tickets for Beyond Yoga start at $59.99.
While journeying through Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience, guests witness more than 300 iconic masterpieces, including such instantly recognizable classics as “The Starry Night”, “Sunflowers” and “Café Terrace at Night” as well many revealing self-portraits.
Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience was created by French-Canadian Creative Director Mathieu St-Arnaud and his team at Montreal’s world-renowned Normal Studio.
The exhibit will run in Albuquerque through May 1 at Immersive Pavilion at Sawmill District. 1820 Bellamah Ave. NW, Albuquerque NM 87104.
