The staff at the Betty Ehart Senior Center is recognizing the 20-year anniversary of Chef Fred Ortiz.

Ortiz, who also celebrates his birthday Wednesday and will be heralded at the drive thru lunch. Those wishing to stop by an applaud his accomplishments noon to 1 p.m. that day are welcome.

The senior centers served more than 9,000 meals during the last quarter and are on track to do the same for this quarter.

The chefs and teammates miss seeing their people every day and work hard to accomplish the many tasks set before them.
