Best-Selling Author J.A. Jance In Los Alamos Tuesday

J. A. Jance

LIBRARY News:

Best-selling author J. A. Jance will speak at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, at Fuller Lodge as part of the Los Alamos County Library System’s Authors Speak Series.

Her latest book, “Proof of Life,” was just released Sept. 5. This will be Jance’s only New Mexico appearance on her fall book tour. J. A. Jance’s books will be for sale at the talk, thanks to Collected Works Bookstore.

Seating will be limited to the first 125 people for this talk, so Jance fans are advised to come early.

Jance’s writing career spans three decades and includes more than 50 books in four different series – Ali Reynolds, J.P. Beaumont, Joanna Brady, and the Walker Family, along with a volume of poetry.

Although she was once denied entry into a university-level creative writing course, she didn’t let that stop her from living her dream and becoming a writer. Born in South Dakota and raised in Bisbe, Ariz., she and her husband, Bill, split their time between homes in Arizona and Washington State, accompanied by their rescued miniature dachshund, Bella, and new puppy, Johanna.

The Authors Speak Series is a monthly event featuring local and regional authors speaking about their writing on a variety of subjects such as local and state history, travel, outdoor activities, fiction, Native American history and culture, poetry and more. The series is supported by the Friends of the Los Alamos County Library System.

The talks are free and begin at 7 p.m., on the fourth Thursday of each month. Note the special date for J. A. Jance’s talk, Tuesday, Sept. 19.
