Ben And Pam Prichard Celebrate 55th Wedding Anniversary

Ben and Pam Prichard of Los Alamos are celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary. They were married Sept. 3, 1966, at First Baptist Church in Fort Collins, Colo., while seniors at Colorado State University.

Ben received his Ph.D. in physics from the University of Wisconsin and worked as a physicist at Fermi National Accelerator Lab in Illinois, Princeton Plasma Physics Lab in New Jersey, and Lawrence Berkeley Lab in California. He also was in charge of building a proton accelerator for use in cancer treatment at Loma Linda University Medical Center in California and worked on the Superconducting Super Collider in Texas before joining Los Alamos National Laboratory as a contractor with SAIC in 1996. He retired 11 years ago and now teaches several Bible studies each week.

Pam was a secondary teacher and substitute teacher and volunteers with Child Evangelism Fellowship. She has taught after-school Good News Clubs in elementary schools for the last 22 years.

The Prichard’s daughter Debora Vergin (Lars) lives in Germany and daughter Kathy Taylor (Sam) lives in Texas. Their son Joel died in a ski accident at Pajarito in 2000 when he was a junior at Colorado School of Mines.

The Prichard’s have seven grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
