Salvation Army volunteers will be ringing bells in Los Alamos and White Rock beginning Nov. 27 and continuing through Dec. 23.
Salvation Army funds gathered each year stay in Los Alamos County to help with a variety of basic needs including rent assistance, food, homelessness and housing, health resources, child care, transportation and disaster relief. The funds are managed by Self Help, Inc.
The Salvation Army bell ringing effort is an intergenerational project including Los Alamos High School Key Club members, Los Alamos Volunteer Association and members of local churches.
Volunteers are needed for two hour shifts at Smith’s in White Rock and Los Alamos. For more information about donating, volunteering or applying for assistance, call 505.662.4666.
