THE BELLS ARE RINGING Those involved in organizing the annual Salvation Army bell ringers program want to thank the bell ringers and community members who are taking the time to drop something in the red kettle. They issued a BIG THANKS to Smith’s stores for letting them ring bells at their stores. The foyer in the new Smith’s Marketplace keeps the ringers out of the cold. Irene Kwon also is thanked for getting teens involved in ringing bells. Anyone interested in being a bell ringer should contact Irene Powell at 505.662.8923. The bells ring 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays through Sundays until Christmas Eve. All donations stay here in the Los Alamos community to help needy families through the Self-Help program. Courtesy photo
