Belisama Irish Dance Company will perform its annual “Rhythm of Fire” St. Patrick’s Day at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 15 at The Lensic in Santa Fe. This year’s show will feature guest artist Michael Patrick Gallagher, a two-time World Champion and former lead of Riverdance, as well as traditional live music performed by Jono Manson (vocals/guitar), Mark Clark (percussion), Maria Jones (fiddle), and vocalist Adrienne Bellis (also Artistic Director of Belisama.) The Company includes 14 dancers from Los Alamos and Santa Fe, including a number of National, Regional and Open champions. Most recently, they performed with Lúnasa at The Lensic in Santa Fe in November of 2012. They are known for their high-energy traditional dancing and their offbeat forays into other styles of dance, such as this year’s spunky and humorous jazz set.
