Behnke And Davenport Tie For Best Predictor In Weekly Pace Race

Sonja Behnke and Beth Davenport were 8 seconds off their predicted time in the Atomic City Road Runners weekly pace race Tuesday on the Burnt Mesa Trail in Bandelier National Monument.  
 
Other accurate predictors were: Aidan Colgan, 12, with a 12 second differential, Zeke Wilmot at 18 seconds off, Savanna Strother, 10, recording 21 seconds off as well as the first female finisher in the 1 mile distance, and Mark Bjorklund with a 28 second difference,
 
On the 1 mile course William Strother, 9, was the top finisher at 10:06.
 
Chris Michel was the best finisher in the 2 mile distance recording a 21:38 and Priscila Rosa was the first female at 23:04.
 
In the 3 mile run Ryan Smeltzer finished first with a time of 21:30 and Lynn Bjorklund had a 24:58 for top female.
 
Next week’s race is 6 p.m., Tuesday on the new section of the Canyon Rim Trail starting by Knecht’s Auto Repair near McDonalds by the Smith’s Marketplace parking lot. 1 and 3 mile courses will be available.
