Valentine’s Day is coming up, and if your partner loves beer, might I suggest you get them tickets to attend the upcoming Bathtub Row Brewing 2020 Stout Invitational, throwing down Feb. 15 at Bathtub Row Brewing Co-op in Central Park Square.
Chocolate is boring; underwear is meh, flowers die – beer is where it’s at if you truly want to proclaim your undying love for your craft-beer loving valentine.
This is the fourth year this event has been running, and it should be a good one!
This year there will be at least 15 NMBG (New Mexico Brewer’s Guild) Breweries battling it out for the ultimate bragging rights of Stout King of the Hill.
This year’s breweries:
- Bathtub Row
- Blue Corn Brewery
- Blue Dragonfly Brewing
- Boxing Bear Brewing
- Canteen Brewhouse
- Flix Brewhouse
- Nexus Brewery
- Palmer Brewery
- Red Door Brewing
- Red River Brewing
- Rio Bravo Brewing
- Rowley Farmhouse Ales
- Steel Bender Brewyard
- Three Rivers Brewery
- Tumbleroot Brewing
Admission is $26, which includes the opportunity to sample a stout from each of these breweries, a commemorative pint glass and a pint fill of your choice.
Tickets are still available for all three sessions; noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Bathtub Row is near several great restaurants (Time Out Pizza, Rigoberto’s), and you can bring food into the brewery and make it a meal.
This event has sold out in the past, and if you want to attend, be sure to buy your tickets in advance! Support your local brewers, and make your beer-loving sweetie swoon with a pair of tickets to this fun event.
About the NMBG:
The New Mexico Brewers Guild began in the mid-1990s as an informal gathering of professional brewers who shared a passion for craft beer. In its early days, the Guild met occasionally to share ideas, quaff experimental brews, trade ingredients, and join in friendly competition in the annual IPA Challenge. Many of these same brewers launched the Guild as an official 501(c)(6) entity in 2012. You may not know it, but as a new brewery or brewery in planning, you have already benefited by the considerable efforts of the New Mexico Brewers Guild and its members! (From their website)
