Baila! Baila! Spreads Holiday Cheer With Christmas In New Mexico Dec. 7-8 At National Hispanic Cultural Center

In collaboration with Baila! Baila! Dance Academy, the National Hispanic Cultural Center (NHCC) invites the community to celebrate Christmas traditions in New Mexico and around the world with the annual performance of Christmas in New Mexico on Dec. 7-8.

  • What: Christmas in New Mexico is a whirlwind extravaganza, taking audiences on a journey through the sights and sounds of Christmas in New Mexico and Christmases around the world. Music, song, and dance with the traditional Southwestern flair that has been cultivated in our state over the generations, as well as unique segments saluting Christmas traditions from around the world, will delight theatre-goers of all ages.

This year’s performance is a special treat as Baila! Baila! will be celebrating its 36th year in spectacular fashion! The performance’s musical guests will be the renowned Mariachi Tenampa with a special appearance by company founder Israela Garcia.

Ticket prices range from $34 to $44 with a $2 discount for students, seniors and NHCC members. 

  • Where: The NHCC Albuquerque Journal Theatre at 1701 4th St SW.
  • When: 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 and 2 p.m. only Sunday, Dec. 8.
  • Why: With the holidays around the corner, Christmas in New Mexico offers an opportunity to celebrate Christmas traditions in the Land of Enchantment and around the world!
