Last weekend the Los Alamos Atomic Tumblers traveled to Albuquerque to compete in the Southwest Winter Fiesta Invitational hosted by Precision Gymnastics of Albuquerque.
Emma Fadner was LASG’s high scorer of the day. Emma earned third place overall in the senior division of Bronze with a 36.85 in the all-around which included a third place finish on bars (9.00) and a 9.05 on floor for second.
Competing in the Junior Bronze division was Hanna Valercia. Hanna earned fifth in the division overall with an all around score of 34.65. Hannah Meierbachtol also competed in the Jr Bronze division, she was sixth all-around with 34.25.
The top scorer for LASG in the Bronze B division was Addision Lowe. She took the all around gold medal with an all around score of 36.10: 9.10 on vault (bronze), 9.60 on bars (gold), 8.90 on beam (silver), and 8.80 on floor (silver). Savannah Caizza won gold on vault in this division with a 9.35 and placed fifth all around with 34.35. Audrey Artnak earned bronze on the bars with a 8.85 and sixth all around with 32.85.
Noelle Garuno competed in the Bronze C division earning a fifth all around with a score of 34.90, including a 9.00 which earned her bronze on the beam. Isla Kaufeld won gold on the bars with a score of 8.75 and eighth place all around with a 28.65 in the Bronze A division.
In the Xcel Silver division of competition 10 gymnasts from LASG competed. In the A division. Ava Zadina was LASG’s high scorer. Ava placed fifth in the all around with 35.15. She also took the silver medal on vault with a 9.05. Maddie Vallejo earned eighth place all around with 34.45. Emery Apperson was tenth all around in this division with 33.25.
For the Silver B division Serenity Tao earned bronze on the vault with 9.20 and fourth in the all around with 35.15. Nina Gyrya scored 8.85 on the bars to earn silver and placed sixth in the all around with 34.90. Tehya Thornton scored 32.05 in the all around to earn eighth place.
In the Silver C division Lucy Meierbachtol placed fifth in the all around with 35.35. With an all around score of 33.80 Addy Archuleta earned ninth. Lainey Hopwood placed tenth in the all around with 31.55. Kayla Daleyearned ninth in the all around with 31.60.
In the D division of Silver level competition Abbie Johnson was fourth all-around with 35.45 and won the bronze medal on vault with 9.40.
Five LASG gymnasts competed in the Gold Division. In the youngest division Christina Samantzidou placed eighth in the all around with 30.60 and Amelie Vallejo earned ninth place with 30.475. In the junior division Caroline Eriksen earned tenth in the all around competition with 31.35. In the senior division Eliana Rodriguez earned bronze in all around with 35.125. Eliana won a silver medal on vault with a 9.05, gold on beam with 9.10 and bronze on floor with 8.775. Teagan Brown was fifth with a 34.25.
Atomic Tumblers are competing in and hosting the 42nd Annual Snowflake Invite Feb. 1 at the LASG gym.
