Last weekend Los Alamos Atomic Tumblers travelled to Albuquerque to compete in the Defy Gravity Invitational.
Addison Lowe was LASG’s high scorer of the Day. Addison shined like only a star could on Saturday. She took all 5 of the Gold medals in her age division of Bronze competition with: a 37.05 in the all-around, a 9.50 on vault, a 9.45 on bars, a 9.05 on beam, and a 9.05 on floor. Maya Ternet completed a feat second to only Addison. Maya took the silver medal for second place in all 5 events in that same Bronze Age division. Maya’s scores were 35.40 all-around, 8.90 on vault, 9.40 on bars, 8.70 on beam, and an 8.40 on floor.
Competing in the Junior Bronze Division was Elise Thalacker. Elise totaled an all around score of 36.45, good enough for the Gold medal in her division. Elise also won gold medals on vault with 9.30 and bars with 9.00. Her 9.25 was good enough for the silver medal on beam, and she won the bronze medal on floor with an 8.90. Hannah Meierbachtol also competed in a Jr Bronze division, she was sixth all-around with 34.60 and won a gold medal on vault with 9.00. Emma Fadner competed in the Bronze senior division where she took the silver medal in the all around with 36.65 and on the beam with 9.30. Emma took the bronze medal with a third place finish on floor of 9.30 and on bars with a score of 8.85.
In the Xcel Silver division of competition LASG fielded 10 gymnasts. In the younger division. Ava Zadina was LASG’s high scorer. Ava took the silver medal in the all around with 35.20. She also took the gold medal on bars with a 9.20. Emery Apperson was fifth in this division with 34.50. Maddie Vallejo was seventh with 33.95 and tied for the gold medal on vault with team mate Harmony Cutter, both scored 9.10. Harmony was 8th all-around with 33.60.
In the younger Jr. division Lucy Meierbachtol took the bronze medal in the all around with 35.20. Lucy also took bronze medals for third place in both vault (8.75) and beam (8.50). Kayla Daley was fifth all around in this division with 33.60.
In the oldest Junior division Serenity Tao and Nina Gyrya tied for fourth all-around with 34.60. Serenity took gold medals on vault (9.30) and floor (8.90). Nina won a gold medal on beam with 8.35. Lainey Hopwood was 8th all around with 32.75, and Lucy Lindsay was ninth with 32.20.
In the senior age division of Silver level competition Addy Archuleta was sixth all around with a 35.05 and won a gold medal on vault with a 9.25. Abbie Johnson was eighth all-around with 33.90 and won the silver medal on vault with 9.15.
In the Gold Division of competition LASG fielded 6 gymnasts. In the youngest division Christina Samantzidou and Amelie Vallejo tied for fifth place with 31.85. Amelie won a silver medal on vault with 8.80. In the junior division Caroline Eriksen competed in two events and Leeza Trudolyuboz competed in three events. In the senior division Eliana Rodriguez was fourth all around with 35.125. Eliana won a silver medal on vault with a 9.20. Teagan Brown was fifth with a 34.95. Teagan won a gold medal on beam with 9.05.
Atomic Tumblers compete next on Jan. 26 at Isleta Casino in a meet hosted by Precision Gymnastics of Albuquerque.
