Atomic City Children’s Theater Offers Two Summer Musical Theater Workshops

Atomic City Children’s Theater (ACCT) is again offering Two Sessions*

  • Session 1: 9-11 a.m. Monday, June 17 to Friday, June 21 
  • Session 2 : 9-11 a.m. Monday, July 8 to Friday, July 12

Who can attend the ACCT Summer Workshops?

Any student entering grades 4th-10th (or a former member of ACCT) that have an interest in improving their musical theater skills. The material taught at these workshops will be applicable to ACCT’s attendance at Junior Theater Festival 2014** and to help students interested in improving their musical theater skills or to be a part of our ACCT productions next year (or as soon as the student is eligible to be a part of an ACCT production.)

What classes are the ACCT Summer Workshops offering?

Session 1 Schedule of classes:

  • Monday: Dance workshop Tuesday: Singing workshop
  • Wednesday: Drama workshop (diction, stage presence, etc.)
  • Thursday: Props and set design workshop
  • Friday: Make-up and hair

Session 2 Schedule of classes:

  • Monday: Dance workshop Tuesday: Singing workshop
  • Wednesday: Drama workshop (diction, stage presence, etc.)
  • Thursday: Props and set design workshop
  • Friday: Make-up and hair

Where will the ACCT Summer Workshops be held?

Both ACCT Summer Workshop Sessions will be held in the LAHS Topper Theater & Smith Auditorium 9-11 a.m., Monday-Friday.

How do I register my student for the ACCT Summer Workshop?

Applications are available online at www.AtomicCityChildrensTheater.com. For more information, contact Daren Savage at 663-2203 or by email:d.savage@laschools.net.

There is a $75 registration fee required per student per session to attend the ACCT Summer Workshop. Students are invited to attend either or both sessions.

*The minimum student enrollment for each session is 10 students.
