Come out and meet me at the Los Alamos Co-op this Saturday! That’s where I’ll have some of my beautiful creations for viewing and purchase.
Who? I’m Jerome L. Martinez, an artist and painter from San Ildefonso Pueblo.
Where? The Los Alamos Co-op from 3-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23.
I was born and raised in Los Alamos and graduated from LAHS in 1979. I am married to another artist, Bea Martinez! We have collaborated on several pieces. My professional career outside of art includes construction, 12 years in wildland fire management, natural resources, Parks and Wildlife at San Ildefonso Pueblo, and presently, at Bandelier National Monument.
I work primarily with acrylics, and now my repertoire includes “re-giclee’s,” which are meticulously embellished pieces of art, an extension of my original work.
