Art Show Opening at Los Alamos Co-op Market

The Los Alamos Cooperative Market will host the opening of a photography exhibition from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17.

The show, dubbed “Camino de Paz y Cooperación,” is a collaborative effort between the Co-op and local photographer Minesh Bacrania and depicts the close connection between Camino de Paz, the Montessori-based school and farm located in Santa Cruz, N.M. and the Los Alamos Co-op.

Bacrania was contracted to deliver in a photo-journalistic style the story of how the 7th-9th graders at the school produce food and other products. The exhibit depicts the relationship that exists between the Co-op and the school.

The community is invited to join the Co-op for an evening with the students from Camino de Paz, view the photography and sample healthy snacks.

The Los Alamos Co-op is at 95 Entrada Dr., next to the Holiday Inn Express. The Co-op measures its success by how well it reflects the values of the community through the Co-op’s products and services.
