SPORTS News:

It’s been a fantastic summer for the Los Alamos Aquatomics! Our amazing young swimmers have proudly competed across the state, including at the New Mexico Swimming Long Course State Championship, bringing home personal bests, great memories, and plenty to be proud of.

Beyond the races, it’s been wonderful to see their growth in confidence, teamwork, and love for the sport. The Aquatomics philosophy is rooted in character, integrity, and supporting one another, and that spirit has truly shined this season.

At the New Mexico Swimming Long Course State Championship in Albuquerque, nine Aquatomics proudly represented the team with heart, determination, and strong performances. Madalyn Baily, Liam Corey, Greyson Killgore, Ashley McLaughlin, Zach Sestric, and Austin Sievers each competed in individual events, earning personal bests and valuable experience at this high-level meet. Ben Killgore, Daniela Milazzo-Ramirez, and Clare Reardon contributed their skills in team relays, helping showcase the Aquatomics’ spirit of teamwork and support. The whole team’s dedication and sportsmanship made for an exciting and inspiring weekend of racing!

Earlier this month, Grace Nowell, a Quark swimmer, represented the Aquatomics at the Western Region Sectionals in Mt. Hood, Oregon. This marked her second appearance at Sectionals, where she qualified in the 200 Free, 400 Free, 800 Free, and 1500 Free. She competed in the three longer-distance events, proudly representing our team on a highly competitive regional stage. We’re so proud of Grace’s hard work, determination, and the example she sets for our younger swimmers.

As we wrap up a memorable summer season, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who makes the Aquatomics community so special. To our dedicated coaches, thank you for your unwavering commitment, guidance, and passion for developing not only strong swimmers but strong individuals. To the families and supporters cheering from the stands, and volunteering at meets, your support makes all the difference. And to our swimmers, thank you for showing up with determination, sportsmanship, heart, and for making this summer one to remember!

If you’re looking for a welcoming and supportive team where kids can grow, challenge themselves, and have fun in the water, we’d love you to join us. Whether you’re new to swimming or have competitive experience, there’s a place for everyone on Aquatomics. Come be part of something special! Los Alamos Aquatomics Home
