Applications Open for Habitat for Humanity’s ‘Building Kindness’

HFH News:

“Building Kindness,” the Habitat for Humanity home repair program, is now taking applications. Preference will be given to seniors (age 60 and over) who are low income, live within 12 miles of Espanola or in Los Alamos County, and own or are paying a mortgage on their home.

Elderly access issues such as ramps, retrofitting tubs and showers, and similar improvements will be considered. For other repairs, priority will be given to those that affect the health and safety of the homeowner.

To apply, pick up an application at the Habitat ReStore at 726 N. Riverside Dr. in Espanola, call David Canfield, director of the program, at (505) 423-4280 or call the store and offices at (505) 747-2690.
