AP Night At Los Alamos High School Wednesday

LAHS News:

Students and parents are invited to attend the 4th annual AP Night 6-7:30 p.m., Wednesday at Los Alamos High School.

The evening will begin with a brief presentation in the Topper Theater. Attendees will then be able to meet with teachers and students to learn more about AP and Honors course offerings at LAHS, as well as the dual credit programs offered at the high school.

All LAHS students must take an AP class, an Honors class, an online class, or a dual credit class to fulfill a graduation requirement. LAHS offers seven Honors courses, 23 AP courses, and several dual credit classes.

Advanced Placement Program (AP) courses are college-level courses offered in high school. At the end of the course, students are required to take the AP exam. By participating in AP, students have the opportunity to earn college credit and to stand out in the college admission process.

Last year, LAHS received the 2014 AP District Honor Roll Award, becoming the first school district in New Mexico to receive this national award.
