Special Agent in Charge Raul Bujanda of the Albuquerque FBI Division issued the following statement Wednesday on the shooting of students and teachers at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas:

“The Uvalde community in Texas is very similar to many of our communities in New Mexico, and nobody should ever have to experience that kind of loss.

“The Albuquerque FBI Division extends our deepest sympathies to the families who lost loved ones in this tragedy. We want to reiterate the importance of everyone looking out for each other.

“If you know of someone planning to commit violence or if you see anything suspicious, don’t wait: Immediately call your local law enforcement agency or the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI.”
