UNITARIAN CHURCH News:

The Unitarian Church of Los Alamos will host critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Peter Mulvey for an all-ages concert 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21.

According to the Boston Globe, “Peter Mulvey is all substance, which is his style.”

Mulvey honed his skills in the subways of Boston and on the streets of Dublin, and for the past 20 years has made his living touring the country with his guitar skills and poetic songwriting style. His recent album, “The Good Stuff,” is a collection of covers celebrating his musical influences from Duke Ellington to Tom Waits.

Mulvey’s newest album, “Silver Ladder,” will be released April 1. The Kickstarter campaign supporting promotion of the new album reached its goal in just 25 hours, and has now raised more than $50,000.

“The Unitarian Church of Los Alamos is thrilled to present one of the country’s best singer-songwriters for a return engagement,” Rev. John Cullinan of the Unitarian Church  said. “It will be an evening of great music you won’t want to miss.”

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, and can be purchased at the door. The Unitarian Church of Los Alamos is at 1738 N. Sage St. in Los Alamos.
