LARSO News:
High Tea is a cherished tradition known for its delicious offerings and the sense of community it fosters among its attendees. The Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization (LARSO) invites members to a delightful High Tea sponsored by Enterprise Bank & Trust. Set for Tuesday, March 4, at the Betty Ehart Senior Activity Center and Tuesday, March 11, at the White Rock Senior Activity Center, this free event offers a unique opportunity to gather with fellow LARSO members, share stories, and enjoy an afternoon of indulgence.
Please call to sign up at 505.662.8920 for Betty Ehart or 505.672.2034 for White Rock. Space is limited, so be sure to reserve a seat early.
Participants can look forward to a delightful selection of English Breakfast and Peppermint tea, plus a spread of locally made treats by Chantielle Hanson of Borrow a Baker. Refreshments include tea sandwiches, scones, clotted cream, lemon curd, and other small desserts. Billy Turney, a musician from Santa Fe, will provide live music on the piano.
As people age, social connections become increasingly vital for mental and emotional well-being, and participating in social events like this one can contribute significantly to their overall happiness. High Tea provides a relaxed environment to form friendships and bring together people from various generations, backgrounds, and interests.
Thanks to generous sponsorship from Enterprise Bank & Trust, LARSO can provide these events for older adults to become more involved in the community and maintain the Senior Activity Centers as vibrant and welcoming spaces.
Any LARSO member is invited to attend, whether having been a part of the Centers for years or just recently joined. If people are 60 or older and are not yet a member of the Senior Activity Centers, signing up is free and easy. In addition to access to special events like High tea, members enjoy activities, classes, lunch and resources like a computer lab and exercise room. Call Membership Coordinator Shawn Wilson at 505.662.7957 or email membership@losalamosseniorcenter.com, for more details.
Come together to honor the beauty of High Tea and everything it represents – a tasteful celebration of life’s simple pleasures and the connections that bring us closer together. Find out more at the Facebook Event.
