A Little Bit of This and a Little Bit of That

Wildfire 2012 – Tomorrow!

Don’t forget to drop by the Community Building on 20th Street to check out all of the information tables – lots of information about creating defensible space around your home, and much more! It’s open from 1 to 5 p.m. and hosted by LAFD. There will not be a panel discussion but the public can ask lots of questions of the officials in attendance. It’s Spring! Must be time for Budget Season, too!

Every 15 Minutes

There will be a special dramatization at Los Alamos High School on Wednesday next week, just ahead of Junior/Senior Prom on April 21. If you’re on Diamond Drive, you may see students, staff, LAFD, LAPD and others participating – maybe even a helicopter – read all about this program, and “why” we’re supporting it, when you link here: http://www.losalamosnm.us/news/Pages/Every15Minutes.aspx

We Gotta Lotta Mulch!

Doing some spring gardening? Visit the Eco Station this weekend and get a pick up load of our wonderful mulch – we’d really love to give it away to you (yep, it’s FREE).

White Rock – Brush & Bulk Item Collection Coming Soon

If your trash day happens on Fridays, get your items to the curb by 8 a.m. this coming Monday, April 16. If your trash day happens on Tuesdays, wait until April 23 to put your items curb side by 8 a.m.

Winds + Roll Carts = Where did my roll cart go?

Retrieving your runaway Recycle roll cart from down the street is no fun! We encourage you to only place your cart at the curb on your trash day if it’s at least 1/3 full. That way it’s less likely to be knocked over by the wind (and it helps us conserve fuel, too, if your cart isn’t all that full and we don’t need to service it that day).

Dolphins without tails? Sounds kinda fishy…

The White Rock Library presents “Dolphin Tale” at the next Family Friendly Film Series in White Rock Town Hall next Thursday at 7 p.m. Don’t miss it! We bring the popcorn – you bring your family and friends!
