Guthrie needs a unicorn. He has been patiently waiting for his person since December 4, 2024, in various shelters—yet somehow this sweet, 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix still greets us with a wagging tail and hopeful eyes. He’s kind, gentle, great with people and other pups, and a perfect 52 lbs of love. So what’s the catch?
It’s not his heart. It’s not his behavior… It’s his allergies.
Guthrie didn’t always have allergies though—we think he developed them in a new environment in a new state, so we are holding out hope that maybe, just maybe, now that he’s back in his homeland, his autoimmune system will relax a bit? He’s walked a long road, but now there’s mesa and mountain dirt under his paws, blue corn skies above, and the scent of chile in the air. Let the wind carry this prayer: that this good boy finds his good people under these good New Mexico skies. Mijo, the land remembers you. Now let’s find your family—may the milagros begin. Gus. Black as a moonless night and twice as mysterious (just kidding, there is zero mystery with this guy.) This bold kitten enters every space like he’s got something to say. One smol kitten. One very expressive, high-flying, ta-DA! tail. Infinite cuteness. Unlimited charisma. Adopt this walking exclamation point!
