On the evening of Sept. 20, the large Trump sign on Trinity Drive was defaced. There were attempts to undo the damage, however, on the evening of Sept. 21, the sign along with the posts was stolen and removed from the premises.
A police report has been filed.
After two assassination attempts on the former President, these are indeed frightening times! Many have serious concerns about the border, crime, inflation, and a “world on fire” under the Biden-Harris administration. They will vote to “go back” to more peaceful and prosperous times. Unfortunately, in today’s political climate, they risk being silenced, targeted, and vilified for doing so.
Ironically, the words “fascist pig” were written on the sign, when in fact, as Gary Stradling aptly said, “We consider this defacement and destruction of political signs as characteristic of the fascist attitude of some of our political opposition, who oppose free speech…” I agree with Andrea Determan that “Every citizen has the constitutional right and privilege to freely express their opinion, political or otherwise.”
