The community is invited to join Ranger Anthony Magdalena for a demonstration of traditional Pueblo Gardening 10:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday, July 3 at Coronado Historic Site and Kuaua Pueblo, just minutes north of Albuquerque (off I-25, Exit 242) in Bernalillo at 485 Kuaua Road.
This program teaches participants traditional gardening techniques used by the Pueblo people, connecting modern gardening to the history of the land.
Each month Ranger Anthony focuses on a different aspect of garden care and maintenance. This month he’ll demonstrate how to aid and track plant growth.
This program is included with admission of $7 for adults and free to children 16 years and younger, New Mexico residents 60 years and older with ID, people with Native/Tribal affiliations, disabled veterans and foster families.
