Los Pueblos Water Repairs Continue Today

COUNTY News:

Water crews from the Los Alamos Department of Public Utilities (DPU) continue to work on multiple water leaks that occurred Monday afternoon on Los Pueblos Street on Barranca Mesa.

Residents on the stretch of Los Pueblos from Chaco to the dead end are experiencing low-to-no water pressure this morning during the repair work. No roads are closed for the work however drivers are asked to pass work zones cautiously.

A spokesman for DPU water operations said a piece of pipe will need to be replaced later today and residents should expect their water to be turned off for a couple of hours.

Crews worked on the leaks overnight and hope repairs are completed by 4 p.m. today. The causes of the leaks haven’t been identified yet.

DPU has crews on standby 24/7. In the case of a utility emergency, call 505.662.8333 weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or call Police Dispatch at 505.662.8222 after hours.
