From the Office of the Governor:
Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham will lead a business and trade mission to Rotterdam in the Netherlands next week to participate in the 2024 World Hydrogen Summit and Exhibition and meet with manufacturing companies interested in making investments in New Mexico.
The mission is focused on economic development and showcasing New Mexico’s leadership in sustainable development.
“We are continuing to spread the message that New Mexico is open for business and a prime location for companies to invest in the growing hydrogen economy,” Gov. Lujan Grisham said. “We’ve created an incredible hydrogen policy landscape in our state that is supportive on the supply side and demand side, and global energy leaders are taking notice. I’m excited about the opportunity to sell New Mexico as a dynamic and thriving place for hydrogen industry investment during my scheduled meetings with energy CEOs and others in Rotterdam.”
The 2024 World Hydrogen Summit and Exhibition is focused on the surging expansion of the sector as hydrogen takes center stage in global energy debates and transition plans. The Summit is sponsored by the Sustainable Energy Council in partnership with the Government of the Netherlands, the Province of Zuid-Holland, the City of Rotterdam and Port of Rotterdam.
The Governor will travel with an official delegation, which includes First Gentleman Manny Cordova, Office of the Governor Deputy Chief of Operations Caroline Buerkle, Environment Department Cabinet Secretary James Kenney, Department of Transportation Secretary Ricky Serna, Office of the Governor Communications Director Michael Coleman, New Mexico Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Rob Black and HyVisory Inc.
