JESSE RICHARD LEE Sept. 7, 1932 – Feb. 25 2034

 Jesse Lee, age 91, passed away Sunday Feb. 25, 2024 in Huntsville. Ala.  Jesse was born Sept. 7, 1932 in Hartford, CT.

Jesse grew up on a farm in Coventry, CT with nine brothers and sister and graduated from Windham High School in 1950. Jesse served in the USN Submarine Service conducting reconnaissance patrols between Sakhalin Island and Vladivostok USSR from 1950 to 1953.

Jesse married his childhood sweetheart Mary Kelley in 1953 and resided in S. Coventry, CT until 1961 when they moved to Los Alamos, NM. They raised their family in Los Alamos and had many memories of their adventures and friends. They resided in Los Alamos until his retirement in 1999, upon which they moved to Ocala, FL. After the death of Mary in 2020, he moved to Harvest, AL to reside with his son James and be close to his family.

Jesse is preceded in death by parents Jesse and Lilian Lee, his wife Mary, his daughter Deborah Weeks and his siblings Gordon, Doris, Robert, Fredrick, Faith, Mary, Fern, and Virginia.

He is survived by his son James Lee of Harvest, AL., his brother William James of Springfield, MA., and grandchildren Shaun Lee of Huntsville, AL. and Jenifer and Mark Regan of Albuquerque, NM.

Graveside services will be held at Guaje Pines Cemetery on a future date.
