Does your child, tween, or teen have a smartphone or social media account? Family Strengths Network (FSN) invites parents and caregivers in the community to attend the speaker series, “Emojis You Don’t Want to Ignore,” 5:30-7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 25 at FSN (3540 Orange St).
Los Alamos Police Ofc. Chris Ross will educate parents regarding online and digital safety of their children. He will explain the types of things to pay attention to, especially around the issues of sexting and the selling of drugs via text and/or social media.
This presentation is free and open to anyone; no registration required.
This speaker series is one way that FSN partners with other organizations in Los Alamos to strengthen family life in the community.
A related class, “Parenting in the Screen Age” will take place through FSN on Mondays, March 4-April 15 via Zoom and will be facilitated by Brandi Seekins, LWSW. This class is also free but registration is required, which can be done here.
