SANTA FE — In the new year Santa Fe Pro Musica (SFPM) continues their String Quartet Series with the celebrated period instrument ensemble, the Diderot Quartet.
Through the music of Bach, Mendelssohn, and Caroline Shaw this concert explores Bach’s profound legacy across continents and centuries.

Santa Fe Pro Musica presents the music of Caroline Shaw at 3 p.m. Jan 14, as part of their Women of Distinction Initiative that features women engaged in various facets of the classical music industry.
About Caroline Shaw, composer
Shaw is one of the most awarded composers of her generation, and has received two GRAMMY awards (2019, 2022) and a Pulitzer Prize (2013). In addition to classical music, she writes for film, pop, and TV. NPR’s Tom Huizenga calls Shaw’s string quartets “a refreshing take on a centuries-old genre.”
