COUNTY News:

The Los Alamos County Parks and Open Space Division will close the County Ice Rink parking lot 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 26 to remove two unsafe trees from the property.

The tree removal is part of the temporary chiller repair that is ongoing to ensure optimal ice temperatures throughout the coming winter skating season, until permanent repairs can be made.

Motorists are advised to observe caution on Thursday, since some traffic delays may occur. Vehicles driving along West Road are asked to pay special attention to the trucks and workers as the tree removal process is underway. County Parks staff thanks motorists for their patience.
