Scenes From EAA Chapter 691 Young Eagles Workshop Saturday At Los Alamos County Airport

Will Fox speaks to Young Eagles at a locally sponsored Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 691 workshop Saturday at the Los Alamos County Airport Terminal Building. The goal of the workshop is to introduce the kids to the world of aviation and the opportunity that awaits them. They are introduced to how airplanes fly and are controlled. They also learn about various forms of navigation and how pilots communicate with each other and Air Traffic Control. They learn how aircraft are built and each build a wooden rib for a wing. There is another EAA Chapter 691 workshop in the works for later this year. Photo by John McHale/ladailypost.com
