NMHM Hosts ‘They’re History’ Reuse Event Feb. 3

NMHM News:

New Mexico History Museum wants to help cleanse closets of leftovers with the free First Friday event “They’re History” 5-7 p.m., Feb. 3 at New Mexico History Museum, 113 Lincoln Ave. in Santa Fe.

But this isn’t just about starting fresh … visitors will learn how to take old magazines and books and start origami projects, make old t-shirts into fresh fits, and make Pal-entines to demonstrate their love for family and friends.

The History Museum staff also will help connect visitors with community resources, which can help inspire and educate others.

Going through a breakup? Come to “They’re History” and learn how to get rid of their stuff. And while you’re at the museum, be sure to see some of the exhibits, like Honoring Tradition and Innovation: 100 Years of Santa Fe’s Indian Market 1922-2022 and The Palace Seen and Unseen: A Convergence of History and Archaeology.
