Martin Indyk, who served twice as U.S. ambassador to Israel as well as assistant secretary of state for Near East Affairs, and special envoy for the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations in 2013-14, will be our guest on Thursday, March 10 at 6 p.m. MT (a program co-sponsored by the Santa Fe Council on International Relations and the Temple Beth Shalom.)
The program is free with recommended donation and will be held at the St. Francis Auditorium, 107 W Palace Ave, New Mexico Museum of Art. Ambassador Indyk will be discussing his recent book, Master of the Game: Henry Kissinger and the Art of Middle East Diplomacy.
Ambassador Indyk, a distinguished fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations, is the author of the recent bestseller, Master of the Game: Henry Kissinger and the Art of Middle East Diplomacy. In the book, Indyk draws upon recently declassified records, extensive interviews with Kissinger and other key players, giving audiences the sense of what it was like from the inside shuttling between Arab capitals and Israel with Kissinger. Our conversation will also address the current state of negotiations and the impact of the Abraham Accords on the region.
Following the program, Ambassador Indyk will be inscribing Master of the Game, which will be available for purchase from Collected Works.
Special thanks to Temple Beth Shalom, David & Patricia Shulman, Ambassador Mark and Jane Asquino and the Council for Foreign Relations for their support for this program.
This event is free with a requested donation; pre-registration is requested at www.sfcir.org.
