SPORTS News:

The Los Alamos High School Toppers played host to the Taos Tigers in a nonconference game Thursday evening at Sullivan Field.

The two teams have a long record of head-to head competition over the years when they were in the same conference and the games are always filled with fierce and aggressive play.

Thursday night’s game was no different. The teams played aggressive defense, which held most of the first half scoreless, but late in the first quarter Jamie Terrazas found the mark and scored.

The second half was pretty much a rerun of the first half with the Toppers scoring 2 goals late in the period the win the contest 3-0.
