FLACL News:
The Friends of Los Alamos County Libraries (FLACL) is selling art books and framed art 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 14 at Mesa Public Library.
If you are a book lover, collector of paintings, a seller or buyer, someone wanting to do early Christmas shopping or just want to support the community, this sale is a fantastic opportunity.
The framed art are pieces withdrawn from the library’s circulating art collection. The pieces have been removed from the collection due to wear and tear, minor damage and fading, or lack of popularity. The art can be purchased to use as is or for the sake of repurposing the frames.
The art books are a wide selection from contemporary to traditional, nouveau to Renaissance, southwestern to Asian, and even “how to” and photography books will be available.
“Free will offering – take what you want, pay what you can” means there is something for everyone in the family at an affordable price and all proceeds benefit our Los Alamos County libraries.
Be sure to stop by Saturday for FLACL’s outdoor sale when you come to Mesa Public Library to view the county fair exhibits on the 3rd floor.
