Strother Is Top Predictor In Tuesday’s Weekly Pace Race

Nikol Strother was the best predictor in the Atomic City Road Runners (ACRR) weekly pace race Tuesday on the service road in Bayo Canyon at the bottom of Main Hill Road with a 6 second differential off her predicted time.

Other accurate predictors include four participants who tied for second with a 9 second difference; Kathy Daly, Tamara Jurado, Jan Velechovsky and Ajla Bock, 10, who also was the first female finisher in the 1 mile course at 8:57.

Lynn Bjorklund was 13 seconds off, Levi Gibson, 10, recorded a 27 second differential and was the best male finisher in the 1 mile course with a time of 6:54, and Anders Medin was 30 seconds off his predicted time.

On the 3 mile course the top finisher was Travis Gibson recording a 20:04 and the first female finisher was Savannah Strother, 13, at 22:04.

Next week’s race is 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, at Fireman’s Park at the corner of 45th Street and Arizona Avenue. 1 mile paved and 3 mile trail runs will be available.
