Pinon Park Pool is offering two more free swim days this season, Sunday, July 9 and Monday, July 10.
President of Pinon Park Pool Association board Leilani Christensen said, “We welcome the public to come and try out our pool. The free swim days provide an opportunity for anyone to visit the pool at no charge and no obligation to join.”
“We had a great response to our free swim days in June, with dozens of families enjoying the crystal clear water and taking the opportunity to swim, play, relax and cool-off. Pinon Park Pool has been working hard to improve its offering this year and is happy to welcome the public, including former members, to try out the pool and see the changes at our upcoming free swim days,” Christensen said.
The pool is open to visitors 1-6 p.m. Sunday, July 9 and 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, July 10. Children younger than age 18 attending this event must be accompanied by a parent.
Christensen said, “Starting July 15, our mid-season discount on 2017 membership fees goes into effect. For example, the price for a family of four or more, which is $450 for the full season, will be reduced to only $315. The price for an individual, which is $300, will be only $240.”
Pinon Park Pool features a diving board, slides, kiddie pool, lap swimming, outdoor play area, snack bar, and lounging and picnic facilities. The pool has been part of the White Rock community for more than 50 years and is well-known for its quiet, relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere.
Pinon Park Pool also offers swim lessons, with the next one-week block taking place 9:30-10:15 a.m. Monday, July 10 through Friday, July 14. Lessons are offered at five different skill levels. Price for the one week of lessons is $30 for pool members and $40 for non-members. Registration is required by the Friday before the lessons begin.
Pinon Park Pool is at 104 Bryce Ave. in White Rock and open this summer through Labor Day.
