Los Alamos Chamber Announces Launch Ceremony For Places And Spaces April 25

CHAMBER News:

The Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce will be performing a launch ceremony at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 25, 2026, for Places and Spaces Los Alamos’ Pajarito Trails Series website, www.pajaritotrails.us.

Places and Spaces, a local 501c(3)organization, has a mission to support the creation, improvement, and activation of places and spaces for community life in Los Alamos. The public is invited and encouraged to attend this event, which will be held in conjunction with a National Celebrate Trails Day Trails Information Fair. Co-op Park is located at 1010 Central Avenue in Los Alamos (at the corner of Central & Knecht).

The launch ceremony will be marked by an “Outdoor Assembly” photo op at 10 a.m. sharp. Everyone present will be invited to stand together for a photo on National Celebrate Trails Day in collective support of trails and open spaces. You are invited to bring a favorite piece of trail or outdoor gear (could be a walking stick, trekking pole, headgear, footgear, climbing gear, mountain bike, day pack, etc.) for the photo.

The National Celebrate Trails Day Trails Information Fair from 9-11 a.m. will be a drop-by event. 15+ area groups and organizations have been invited to be on hand to talk about their events, activities, membership opportunities, and volunteer opportunities. Meet Striker, the Ambassador Horse, a friendly Arabian. Striker will anchor a booth by local equestrians with information about what to do if you encounter a horse on a trail.
