FSN To Host Spring Clothing & Small Item Swap April 11-17

FSN News:

The biannual Family Strengths Network (FNS) Swap is the perfect place to donate the products of spring cleaning and closet purges (and children’s never-ending growth) and swap for something else. It is not necessary to donate items to “shop”.

Accepted items:

  • Gently used spring/summer clothing (baby, kids, and adult sizes), seasonal accessories, shoes, toys, books, baby gear, and household items.
  • Socks and underwear should be new in packaging only.
  • No furniture (e.g. cribs, changing tables) or car seats please.

What to expect:

  • No drop-offs at the door.
  • When people arrive, FSN will now be weighing donations to better measure and report the community’s impact in keeping things out of the landfill!
  • Donnor, please sort items. There will be staff, volunteers, and signage to help.
  • After sorting donations, it’s time to shop!
  • This is a free event. Monetary donations are appreciated.

When:

  • Drop off donations Saturday, April 11 and Tuesday, April 14
  • “Shop” April 11 and April 14-17 (FSN is closed on Sunday and Monday)
    • 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday
    • 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday through Friday
    • 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday

Volunteers needed for the Spring Clothing Swap!

FSN is looking for people who can spend an hour volunteering as a “Helper & Greeter” and/or “Clean-up Crew.” On Saturday after the Swap, help is needed to bag up leftover donations and put away the tables, racks, and baskets used for displaying donations, and to box up the hangers.
