Los Alamos County advises residents that Southwest Fire Defense will be conducting scheduled tree pruning along Central Avenue, Tuesday March 10 and Wednesday March 11.

Crews will begin work at 4th Street and progress along the street toward Bathtub Row.

During this time, sections of the sidewalk within the work area will be temporarily closed. Clearly marked detour signs will be posted to guide pedestrians safely around the work zones.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the area and to follow posted signage while crews are working.

The pruning work is part of ongoing efforts to maintain public safety and reduce fire risk by managing vegetation along the corridor.
