100MWC News:
100 Men Who Care – Los Alamos, a group of men dedicated to providing immediate and meaningful financial support to local organizations, will be holding its next quarterly event 5:30-7 p.m., Thursday, March 12, at the SALA Event Center.
Organized like a “Shark Tank” for nonprofits, the group votes on one of three organizations to support based on short presentations by each. Each group member then writes a check for $100 directly to the winning organization.
Through prior events, we have collected $37,000 for local nonprofits. If you’d like to make a difference in our community, please join us.
To increase interest, three mystery door prizes will be awarded during the evening. The meeting will be held in SALA’s banquet style venue and will begin with socializing over food and drinks.
China Palace will cater the event. Of the nominated charities, the following three were randomly chosen for consideration at the event:
Los Alamos Historical Society
Self Help
League of Women Voters
We will also hear a brief update from our December 2025 event winner, First Born Program of Los Alamos, who will provide an update on how their award is being implemented.
We thank Enterprise Bank and Trust for being our event sponsor; they will cover all venue and food costs, allowing 100% of our donations to go towards charity. We would also like to give a shout out to the Los Alamos Community Foundation, who serve as the fiscal agent for 100 MWC Los Alamos.
The 100 Men Who Care – Los Alamos group is open to all interested in participating. Each member commits to contributing $100 once a quarter. In addition, members may nominate their favorite local charity. If you would like to join, please scan the QR code.
