Love to get out? Join the New Mexico Department of Wildlife for three days of activities for all ages, outdoor vendors and wildlife presentations at the 2026 Outdoor Adventures Show Friday, Feb. 13 through Sunday, Feb. 15 at Expo New Mexico in Albuquerque!
Kids can jump into hands-on nature exhibits, a wildlife scavenger hunt, an interactive OHV activity, beginner-friendly archery and wildlife education led by Department conservation officers eager to share their knowledge.
Come check out this year’s vendors, with booths featuring outdoor gear, kayaks, archery, boats, off-highway vehicles and more. Learn new skills, discover local wildlife or get inspired by live presentations and interactive nature learning stations. Whatever your interest, your adventure awaits at the Outdoor Adventures Show.
The show, sponsored by Ram Motors RV & Truck Center, Hit or Miss Archery, Hanseatic Management Services, Inc. and Waypoint Vehicle Upfitters, takes place Friday, Feb. 13 through Sunday, Feb. 15, in the Manuel Lujan Building at Expo New Mexico. Admission to the show will be $5 for adults or free to youth age 17 and younger, as well as anyone who holds a valid New Mexico hunting and fishing license.
The show will be open from noon-6 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday.
This year’s show includes various presentations on two stages on Saturday and Sunday. Come check out sessions about shed hunting with dogs, wildlife photography, hiking tips, fishing techniques, safe firearms handling, how to become an officer with the Department of Wildlife and more! The popular calling contests are once again part of this year’s Outdoor Adventures Show. Callers of all ages and skill levels are invited to show off their calling abilities.
The contests begin at noon Saturday with the duck-calling contest, sponsored by Ducks Unlimited. The turkey-calling contest, brought to you by the New Mexico Chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, is at 2 p.m. Saturday. Finally, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation sponsors Sunday’s elk-calling contest at 2 p.m. Winners in each class will receive custom-made trophy buckles made by Thoreau-based Maynard Buckles.

An archery range, sponsored by The Archery Shoppe, and a pellet-shooting range, sponsored by Bernalillo 4-H, will allow you to grow your skills, whether you’re experienced or a novice.
Just across the street in the Creative Arts Building, the National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) will hold its 2026 State 3-D Championship, sponsored by The Archery Shoppe, Friday through Sunday.
The tournament features more than 500 archers from more than 40 schools, ranging in age from grades 4-12, competing for custom championship buckles for the top male and female finishers in the elementary, middle school and high school divisions.
