COMMUNITY News:

Taos Singer-songwriter Max Gomez returns to Los Alamos Dec. 28 to perform at Fuller Lodge as part of the Live in Los Alamos’ concert series.

Gomez, who is touring for his latest album, Memory Mountain, is bringing his friends to his holiday show.

While billed as a holiday concert, the bulk of tunes will come from Gomez’s extensive collection of originals, including the song, New Mexico, which Lathrop recommends to anyone who has had an encounter with someone a bit ignorant about the 47th state.

“Max has built a devoted fanbase here in Los Alamos,” Live in Los Alamos President Jonathan Lathrop said. “He played five times for us before he started the holiday shows, so by the time he rolled those out folks knew to grab tickets fast. Only once have we still had tickets available the day of the show.”

Los Alamos Schools Credit Union is the exclusive outlet for Live in Los Alamos tickets that do not include a service fee. The public is welcome to purchase tickets there for $38 (cash or check only) or can purchase them online at www.liveinlosalamos.com for $43. Doors will open at 6 p.m. with Bathtub Row offering beer and wine, and a meal available for purchase from a local restaurant (see website for more details). Music will begin at 7 p.m.
